A Game Show with a difference and a Penny Scallan Giveaway

Welcome one and all to this our next installment of What Would You Choose? - the blind product dating show entirely appropriate for children' with your host Motormouth Miriam.

Miriam - Hi all and welcome. Today we have a gorgeous new contestant and for those who tune in right to the end a chance to win one of today's fabulous prizes.

Let's introduce today's contestant. His name is Flip (well that's what his mama calls him). He's a number-loving 6 year old who likes games, golf, statistics and problem solving. Today he's looking for a special treasure box to house his collectables.

Welcome Flip to the show.

Flip - thanks for having me.

Miriam - okay Flip we've got 3 mystery boxes lined up for you today so could you please ask them your first question.

Flip - I'm looking for a box that can sit on my dressing table, fit inside my back pack for transport and still has enough room to fit plenty of treasures. I also need it to be strong and not squishy I need my treasures to be protected if I am moving them around. Can you tell me about your size and strength?

Box 1 - ummmm.... well I am strong but my lid is separate from my top so I'm a bit worried about being thrown about in your bag - I need special care.

Box 2 - Hi Flip. I'd love to be your mystery box. I'm smaller than a shoe box - maybe a bit similar to your lunchbox size. I'm made of very strong thick card so I won't bend or break. I have a neat handle and look a bit like a mini suitcase with a smart metal latch so I won't pop open.

Box 3 - well Flip I'm sure you'd love me I'm so good looking and I'm just the right size to hold one of your teeth for the tooth-fairy.

Miriam - Okay Flip it sounds like you've got some information to think about there. What's your next question?

Flip - I know looks aren't the only criteria for a friendship but I'd quite like something that matches the things I like. Could you tell me a bit about your looks.

Box 1 - I resent being asked this question, what does it matter how awful I look the treasure inside is supposed to be your focus. (box 1 storms out at this point and returns after some stage side counselling)

Box 2 - Well Flip with me there are actually several options of looks but the producers felt that my bold navy exterior with a bright red and white star was a good choice for you. I also have a jaunty red and white striped interior.

Box 3 - I'm really shiny and sparkly in all the colours of the rainbow.

Flip -  thanks boxes. I've just got one more question. Could you tell me anything else that you might bring to my life if I choose you.

Box 1 - I'm very loyal and once you have me you'll never be able to get rid of me.

Box 2 - I believe in being the gift that goes on giving, so if you pick me Flip you won't just be picking a durable, cute, secure collectibles box you'll also get 3 other gifts with me too. A fun and challenging wooden yo-yo, a neat pack of cards - with the full set all there. I hear you don't have a full set. You'll also receive a snap watch which I know are quite a hit at your school and I hear you're getting pretty good at telling the time.

Box 3 - I am proud to say I come filled with cotton wool and someone else's tooth that the tooth fairy forgot to collect.

Miriam - So Flip you've heard their answers which treasure box sounds like the right fit for you?

Flip - thanks mama, oops I mean Miriam. I think there is really only one box that stands out for me and that's Box 2. I'd love to take box 2 home and take really good care of it. I know I'll be desperate to take it to school for buzz group time too and the snap watch is going to be the envy of many of my friends.

Miriam - an excellent choice Flip. I can reveal that Box 2 actually comes from the very popular Penny Scallan range of Collectable Boxes. There are 4 other designs in the range and each comes with it's own surprise elements.

Flip - wow! This is so awesome. Can I take it home and keep it?

Miriam - yes you absolutely can and because you have been such a fantastic contestant we'd like to offer you another product from the Penny Scallan website for your little brother Bounce. Your mother does have strange taste in names doesn't she?

Flip - gosh there is so much cool stuff on here. I think Bounce would love lots of things but I am going to pick him the children's Big City Sleepover Bag. He'll feel so grown up having his own bag to take when he goes to visit Ma'n'Pop over night or when we go away. Mum and Dad like soft bags for long trips too because they pack more easily in the car but usually they just give us reusable shopping bags.

Miriam - Yes well maybe they do but let's not focus on their shortcomings to date. I'm sure you're parents will love the strong handles, wipe clean fabric and the sweet mesh pouch, side pocket and internal zippered pocket too. And I hear Bounce loves cars and vehicles so this fabric design will really appeal to him. I'm sure you could help him write his name on the personalised truck tag too.

Thanks so much Flip for being on the show today and I know you and your brother will love those prizes. You may also think that your mama is pretty amazing for managing to parent you so well, host a game show and blog.... but perhaps it's just me that thinks that.

Flip - thanks mama, I mean Miriam.

Miriam - now readers you don't go away empty handed today either. You have your own chance to win Flips collectable box pick too. But Penny Scallan has generously allowed you to pick your own design from the range. So which will it be?

Leave a comment with your favourite of the collectable boxes for a chance to win. You have until Tuesday the 8th of April to enter at which point one of you, our lovely reader/viewers will be whooping delightedly around your lounge. Do make sure we can contact you now....

For a second chance leave a comment telling us why you love the show so much.:o)

Tune in next time for 'What Would You Choose? - the blind product dating show entirely appropriate for children.'

Oh Miriam, this is AWESOME! You had me giggling from the start - love it!!
(We were also sent the Big City bag and matching box, so I don't think it's fair of me to enter - although another box would save squabbles down the line...!)

Haha funny, loved it!! They are just the cutest little treasure boxes. Catering for both boys and girls in my family I can't decide between the Big City (love the wooden cars) and Chirpy Bird (that money box is cute)

OMG. DECISIONS! Babushka or Big City. Do I have to pick now? Can I reserve the decision for if I'm lucky enough to have to decide? Babushka. No, Big City. No, Babushka. Seriously, Big City. Or...

This is my first episode, but I'm loving it! Finding new things for which I'd never have thought to look! Thank you for the introduction. And, Flip, you were wonderful!

Cuties! I love the Big City box too with the wee wooden cars and road map. Thanks for the giggle.

I loved the show because the boxes had their own personalities. Cuteness.

ohhhh - cute! I think the Apple one for Elliott, or I could 'think ahead' and get the City one for the wee boy - 7 months is a bit too small for one I think. He's got no treasures (yet!) to store anyhow ;)
